The Book Club

Hello, Readers! Welcome to the book club. I am going to keep it pretty simple and basic, we will read one book per month, and new readers will only be added at the beginning of each month. We will have an open discussion here on my blog at the end of each month, it’s not mandatory to attend. If that doesn’t work, you can simply just read along and jump into any discussions the following month or whenever you are available to join, no problem.

We will begin in October reading:

Only Love Today: Reminders to Breathe More, Stress Less, and Choose Love

“It is not always possible for me to choose love in the midst of challenging situations, but I can definitely try to soften—soften my voice, my touch, my opinion, and my timetable.”
― Rachel Macy Stafford, Only Love Today

This book is so magical and I truly believe everyone needs to read it. Rachel truly has a gift of storytelling, this book will not disappoint you I promise.

Get to know the Author: Rachel Macy Stafford

“I want to make memories, not to-do lists. I want to feel the squeeze of loving arms, not the pressure of over-commitment. I want to get lost in conversation with my favorite people, not consumed in a sea of unimportant emails. I want to be overwhelmed by sunsets that give me hope, not by overloaded agendas that steal my joy. I want the noise of my life to be a mixture of laughter & gratitude, not the intrusive buzz of mobile phones & text messages. I’m letting go of distraction, perfection, & pressure to grasp what really matters.” – Rachel’s very own words.

So head on over to your nearest library or purchase your very own copy, whatever works best for you. I bought my hard copy at Target. Grab a blank notebook, or journal and something to write with. A few things I do along the way while I am reading is I underline, or circle anything that catches my eye. I also transfer quotes on to a blank journal that I keep nearby to go back and reread when I need a little inspiration.
