All-Purpose Cleaning Spray Straight from your Garden

My orange trees (yes we have two) are out of control and I am trying to find a way to use every one of them. Free oranges anyone? Seriously! Today I would like to show you how you can make your own aromatic vinegar cleaning spray with only four ingredients.

This homemade spray not only will it remove dirt, but it will disinfect and make your home smell amazing all at the same time without spending a penny by utilizing these four ingredients which are currently sitting in your home.

Vinegar has been used for centuries and what I love about vinegar is that it’s natural and non-toxic plus you can use it in many versatile ways. From cleaning and disinfecting, removing odor and stains, losing weight, whitening your teeth, to bringing blooms back to life.

Here is what you will need:

+ 3 sprigs rosemary

+ peels of 2 oranges

+ 1 cup water

+ 1 cup white vinegar

Directions: In a mason jar (1-1/2 pt Wide Mouth Mason Jar from Wal-Mart), combine rosemary, orange peels, water, and vinegar. Seal tightly and store in a dark place to allow the oils to infuse. After about two weeks strain orange peels and rosemary and transfer liquid to a spray bottle for use. (I use amber spray bottles because I notice the scent does last longer. However, it is not necessary and you can buy a regular cleaning spray bottle at your local 99. Cents store.)

Orange peels and rosemary may be placed directly inside the spray bottle if desired. (I don’t keep the peels or rosemary but I have seen many that do. Also, shake the bottle before every use.) The scent will last longer if stored and kept in a dark place somewhere in your home after every use. (I keep mine under my kitchen sink in my everyday cleaning tote.) After you whip up a batch of this easy multi-purpose cleaner you will never buy another store-bought cleaner, I promise.

(Vinegar is NOT recommended for use on stone and marble surfaces because it can dull and etch the surface. Kept out of reach of children and pets. Test before use to ensure you don’t damage your surface or furniture. Do NOT use vinegar on wax surfaces, cast iron, or aluminum. Do NOT to use vinegar on your smartphone or laptop screens because it will strip the oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints and smudges.)

Remember your imagination is the only limit!
